Confederate Heroes Day
Did you know that last week, January 19th, was Confederate Heroes Day? Government employees in Texas used to get Robert E. Lee's birthday (January 19th) and Jefferson Davis' birthday (June 5th or something) off of work. When Martin Luther King Jr. Day was made a federal holiday, the two birthdays were combined into one holiday - Confederate Heroes Day - observed on January 19th each year. It figures that Texas would still observe something like this :-D

I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one having this thought. I live in Texas, and believe me, hate is still alive and well in this state.
Lol - I didn't mean that it was a bad thing :-)
